Restaurant Consultant and Training Specialist, Pam Simos
Five Star training has been in operation since 1987 and offers consulting and professional advice and a full line of 20 restaurant training solutions for executives, managers, and staff for all type and size food service establishments.
Pam Simos is the founder, and keynote speaker of Five Star Training. She has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality field and 20 years of training and human resource expertise. Pam has directed the preopening training and successfully trained management and staff for more than 35 new restaurants.
Pam’s hands-on hospitality experience started when she was a teenager where she worked both as a hostess and waitress. She successfully worked her way up through the ranks holding senior-level positions such as restaurant manager, multi-unit director, and corporate training director for both franchise and company-owned restaurants. Pam received a BS degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Florida State University's School of Business and has worked at many of the top organizations, including Red Lobster, Bennigan's, Taco Bell, Domino's Pizza, Charley's Steak House, Universal Studios Florida, Publix, TCBY Yogurt, Topaz Hotel, and the Ramada Inn.
Pam's unsurpassed knowledge and experience working through the ranks, has allowed her to create 17 proven hospitality seminars which are taught to managers and hourly employees. She also launched and directed the startup training operations, wrote training manuals, and conducted seminars for both Universal Studios Florida and a landmark seafood restaurant chain. She is a published author who writes customer service and training articles for numerous hospitality publications. Pam has created a line of off-the-shelf training aids and products that were featured in the following magazines:

Five Star Training's Executive Writer/Training Specialist has an MA degree in Professional Writing and Publishing from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. She also holds a BA degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida. Her experience includes the design and delivery of communication workshops for companies such as, Marriott Hotels, McDonald's Corporation, Turner Broadcasting, Shipley Company, Ernst & Young, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, BOC Edwards, Fleet Bank, Fidelity and Walt Disney World.
She also facilitates and develops programs for top training companies such as, Decker Communications, Forum Corporation and nSight. She is the instructional designer of more than 20 training workshops and author of a nonfiction book and more than 150 magazine articles. She has been a member of the Five Star Training team since 1987.
